... then do it yourself. What happens when you can't find groups that include you or run instances at times that you want? Then you form your own group!
As a Ret Paladin, it can be hard to find groups. There are still hard-wired prejudices and general mistrust of them in the pick-up group populace. However, you can zerg through an instance with just about any sane group composition (1 tank, 1 healer, 3 DPS) providing that the members have adequate gear and skill.
Yes, I used the term zerg. I loved Starcraft. I also wanted an excuse to use that picture, because I laugh every time I see it.
Whining on the forums, in trade chat, or to your guild that you cannot get invites to pick-up groups gets you no-where. Pick up that mace, find a few friends, and make your own group!

I find the blatant idiocy (or, well, I guess we could say ignorance, but it irks me enough to say idiocy) of people who demand a specific class for any five-man just annoying. There is not instance currently in-game that absolutely requires a specific class; yes, having a Protection paladin might make Shattered Halls easier or a warlock in the Mechannar, but is it worth turning down a slew of other valuable players and waiting a half hour to find that one class you want?
Probably not.
Class prejudices sadly exist in-game and many wonderful people are still picking groups based on pre-TBC class standings or just really incorrect information. But then again, I'm the kind of person who willingly takes a Retribution paladin and an Arms warrior into heroic Magisters' Terrace -- a place where crowd control is needed to be successful.
Bah!

Oh, after your explaining about the mana benefits from a ret pala, I'd really love to try out partying with one... But I hardly ever see any of you people around. Where are you`? Lurking, hiding secretly, sick and tired of prejudices?
Anyway I like your idea about being pro-active, acting rather than wining.
In my experience Larisa, if you advertise in Trade or City 'LFM Heroic Blah, want 1*lvl70 Ret Paladin' you'll be deluged with whispers... that is unless AV just popped ;). On the flip side, you may well be laughed at in chat channel by those that don't approve of Ret :(.
You're quite right Josh, Ret Paladins really need to be pro-active in organising groups or they will just get overlooked. Cultivating a long friends list is obviously a part of that, and being especially chummy with a Tankadin and Priest/Shaman/Paladin healer so you are only ever looking for 2 DPSers helps enormously. Overall though I find that the most important thing to keep in mind is: 'LFM' is much more tempting to a prospective group member than 'LFG'.
Everyone needs to suck it up and show some pally love! I've started a new paladin and am loving the class, true, in the past retadins weren't the best to use, but as stated any 5 man can be handled with ease in most cases with whatever 5 man group you can come up with. Get that group going, and stick it to the pug community!!!
